Describe the complete frontage
A shopfront inquiry should show moving leaves, side panels and any overpanel. Give the opening dimensions and mark the door movement. For refurbishment, include photographs of the existing glass preparation, threshold and upper support rather than only the visible handle.
Coordinate the operating assembly
List the floor spring or pivot, top and bottom patches, handles and locks. Ask for the proposed combination to be checked as one system. Glass thickness, leaf width, estimated weight and the fixing or spindle interfaces all belong in the same inquiry package.
Resolve site and supply boundaries
Identify who supplies the glass, who prepares the floor recess and who installs the hardware. State operating requirements and any project documentation needs. Confirm which inserts, brackets, cover plates and fixing components are included before comparing hardware prices.
